A full day inshore fishing trip out of Saint Bernard Parish runs anywhere from $900 and $1,200. Those prices cover everything you need on the water: rods, reels, bait, tackle, ice, and fish cleaning at the end of the day. What they don't cover is food, drinks, gratuity, and getting yourself to the launch. That's the whole picture, and I'd rather you have it upfront than find out at the dock.
I get this question a lot, and I get why. Most charter websites either bury the price or dance around it. I'm not interested in that. If the price fits your budget and the trip sounds right, let's go fishing. If it doesn't, I'd rather you know now. Here's the full breakdown.
Inshore Charter Pricing
Full-day trips run from $900 to $1,200 for up to 4 anglers and give you six to eight hours on the water. If you've never fished the marsh before, the full day is almost always worth it; you're 45 minutes from downtown New Orleans and you might as well make the most of the drive.
You'll be on the water for roughly six hours, targeting redfish, speckled trout, flounder, or whatever's biting that morning in the Delacroix marsh. The trip includes rods and reels, bait, tackle, ice, and fish cleaning. Louisiana fishing licenses are included for out-of-state anglers. The full pricing page has the current rates and availability calendar.
Fly Fishing Charter Pricing
Fly fishing charters run $1,000 for one angler, or $1,500 for two. This is a max two-person trip by design: fly fishing the flats requires a different approach than a standard inshore trip, and it works best when it's just you and me and a specific stretch of shallow water.
We'll be sight-casting for redfish, watching for tailing fish, pushing wakes - the kind of hunting-style fishing that fly anglers come back for year after year. You need to be comfortable with a fly rod in saltwater conditions. If you're newer to fly fishing but want to give it a try, give me a call first and we'll talk through whether this is the right trip for where you are.
Bull Redfish Trip Pricing
Bull redfish trips are seasonal — late summer and early winter, when big fish are schooled up in the bays and passes. Pricing is anywhere from $1,000 to $1,500 for up to 3 anglers. These aren't the everyday slot-size redfish. We're talking fish pushing 30, 40, sometimes 50 inches that have been feeding hard all summer and are ready to eat. It's a different kind of day on the water.
Availability is limited to the right time of year, so if a bull red trip is what you're after, don't wait to book. Check current availability on the full pricing page or reach out directly.
What's Included in Every Trip
I want there to be zero surprises on the morning of your charter. Here's exactly what's covered in the price of every trip:
Rods and reels: I bring quality gear, rigged and ready. You don't need to own any equipment to fish with me.
Bait: live and cut bait as conditions call for it, provided by me.
Tackle: hooks, weights, leaders, everything needed to get you on fish.
Ice: your catch stays cold.
Fish cleaning: at the end of the day, I'll fillet your fish and bag them so you leave with something ready for the pan.
What's Not Included
Food and drinks are entirely up to you, bring whatever you want to eat and drink on the water. I don't provide meals. Alcohol is allowed but use your judgment; it's a moving boat on a tidal marsh and we're handling hooks. Gratuity is not required, but if you had a great day, it's always appreciated by the mate. The standard in the industry is 15–20% of the trip cost, same as a restaurant. Transportation is only provided on the water, so getting yourself to the launch at 626 Florissant Hwy, Saint Bernard is on you. It's about 45 minutes from downtown New Orleans. I'll send directions when you book.
Is It Worth It?
I'm obviously not a neutral party here, so take this for what it is. But let me give you the honest version.
What you're paying for isn't just a boat ride. It's someone who's been fishing this specific marsh since 2015, who knows where the redfish are staging on a falling tide in October versus where they are in June, who knows which ponds hold trout and which ones are dead water. That knowledge took years to build and it's the difference between a good day and a slow one.
Most people who fish with me for the first time had never caught a redfish before. Most of them book again. That's what matters to me, not whether the price fits on a spreadsheet, but whether you leave the dock wanting to come back. If you're on the fence, read through the New Orleans fishing charter guide and see if the trip sounds like the right fit before you commit.

At time of booking, a $400 deposit is required to secure your trip, the rest of the balance is due on the day of the trip.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you require a deposit?
At time of booking, a $400 deposit is required and will reserve your date. This also goes toward the total cost of the trip.
What's your cancellation policy?
Weather cancellations are handled differently from voluntary cancellations — if I have to call the trip off for safety reasons, you'll get a full refund of your deposit or we'll reschedule, your choice.
What happens if the weather is bad?
I make the call, not the forecast. Light rain doesn't cancel a trip; some of the best fishing I've ever had was in a drizzle. Thunder and lightning do cancel a trip, full stop. If conditions are genuinely unsafe, I'll let you know as early as possible and we'll either reschedule or refund your deposit.
Is gratuity included?
No. Gratuity isn't included in the charter price and is never required. If you had a good day and want to tip, 15–20% of the trip cost is the standard in the industry and it's always appreciated. If the fishing was slow through no fault of anyone's — sometimes the marsh just has an off day — don't feel obligated.
